Open Mic at After Hours Live

Alan and Pam perform at Open Mic

Friday 2 October 2015 saw the return of the annual Open Mic Night at After Hours Live, situated in the picturesque Octavia's Cafe in Wisbech. The event saw many talented performers take to the stage for a 10 minute slot where they entertained the audience with a wide variety of acts including comedy, poetry and music. Some of the highlights included a rendition of the Tom Jones classic 'Kiss' on a cello by Pam and Alan Vibral. Acoustic original songs by Alex Chapman that contained a Johnny Cash vibe were another highlight of this fun-packed evening.

After Hours Live is back on Friday 6 November where talented singer Rachel Yvonne will be travelling up form London to give us an evening to remember. Please visit the After Hours Live website for more information.

On Friday 5th September, the monthly After Hours Live was back. Hosting the ever popular 'Open Mic' event, various performers all contributed to help make the night a success. Some of the highlights were: an original song by Joel Fitzsimmons as well as a beautiful rendition of the Les Miserables song 'I Dreamed A Dream' sung by Serena.

Thanks to all who contributed as well as everyone who came along to watch / listen.

Next month Bob Bell returns to the After Hours Live stage with his country and western classics, along with some witty banter! Don't miss it.

Keith Hammond at After Hours Live

Keith Hammond performs at After Hours Live
Yesterday another successful After Hours Live happened in Octavia's Cafe in Wisbech. Guitarist and songwriter Keith Hammond was our special guest artist this month. He played a fantastic mixture of his own songs and others from the charts. A balance of entertainment with a twist of faith gave a lovely insight into Keith's life and the two songs he played from the latest album recording from Kingsgate Church, Peterborough gave a glimpse into a future of musicality and song writing that is very exciting indeed.

After Hours Live will be back on Friday 4th October where we will be hosting an 'Open Mic' night. Musicians and entertainers from all walks of life are welcome to participate. Simply email info@afterhourslive.org.uk to book your 10min slot. Slots will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so get in quick as they do tend to go fast!

After Hours Live - Open Mic

Open Mic Night at After Hours Live

Yet another successful After Hours Live event happend on the first Friday of October. It was the first Open Mic event where the microphone was 'open' for various musicians, singers, comedians and poets from the local Fenland area to come and perform in front of an audience. The bill was packed with the entertainment starting at 7pm and going until just after 9pm!

Once again the beautiful Octavia's Cafe in Wisbech was packed with people - some After Hours regulars as well as quite a few new faces coming to experience 'Live entertainment with a twist of faith'. Delicious cakes and steaming cups of magnificent cappucinos and lattes were in abundance and everyone had a fantastic time.

Thanks to all those who came along to the event and we hope to see you again soon. Thanks also to those from The King's Church, Wisbech who performed and helped to add the element of faith and testimony to the event.
